Integrated ERP Speeds Data Flow

TOTALogistix helps clients by expediting delivery of a critical commodity – information.

Even now, generations into the digital revolution, a lot of shipping data is handled the old-fashioned way: manually, slowly, re-keyed into the system multiple times.

A recent collaboration between TOTALogistix and client Pamarco Global Graphics offers a benchmark for how you can leverage your computer network to make logistics and financial information available throughout your company.

Pamarco is a major international player in the manufacture and servicing of graphic arts and printing equipment, with a heavy volume of inbound and outbound shipments. Kris Pazhayanoor, TOTALogistix manager of information technology, worked with Glyn Wilson, Pamarco’s CIO, based in Manchester, UK, to expedite the flow of shipping rates, routes and information into and through Pamarco’s enterprise resource planning system, or ERP. The state-of-the-art integration allows tight coordination of Pamarco’s orders with TOTALaccess, the proprietary TOTALogistix transportation management system.

“My experience with the TOTALogistix team was first class,” said Mr. Wilson. “Working with Kris in the U.S. and Ninoo in India, we covered three continents on this truly international project.” Using the system, Pamarco can pull freight costs directly into their ERP system, saving time, eliminating mistakes, and making a wealth of data available on each shipment.

“Pamarco enters the order data one time, and from there it is processed automatically,” said John Mead, director of national accounts for TOTALogistix. “TOTALaccess, our transportation management system, assigns the shipment to a carrier, and Pamarco has the scheduling and cost information in real time. Historically, they wouldn’t have had this information until they got a bill from the carrier, or logged in manually to our system.” The data flows seamlessly through Pamarco’s ERP, from sales to production, and on to billing and accounting.

These days, it’s not enough to move your products. You have to ensure your information is being delivered on time, as well. Could our systems help your company? The answer is just a phone call or an email away.
